Las Vegas Packs Over 15,000 Shoeboxes in Community-Wide Effort

Each year, Lion Wholesale's Shoebox Packing Party serves as the ultimate representation of our passion as a company. To join together as a city and as a community with a united purpose is an opportunity we will always cherish. That purpose—this year and every year—is to bless children around the world with gifts and to share the love of Jesus Christ.

As about 535 unique volunteers poured through the doors of Remnant Ministries in Las Vegas, Nevada, each individual brought with them a fervent spirit of giving. Families, church groups, and schools came to serve side-by-side with purpose and joy.

In the course of six hours, the community was able to prepare 15,519 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes—each one now on a journey to share the love of Jesus with a child across the globe. Thank you to every single one of you who volunteered; your contribution made a difference not just on this day, but for years to come in the lives of the children who will receive the boxes you packed. Additionally, we are thankful to SOS Radio for spreading the word about this event and for the worshipful environment they helped cultivate through their music broadcast. When you are working as hard as our volunteers did, food is what brings people together to recharge and to provide fellowship. With that in mind, thank you to Cactus Jacks and Slanging Tacos for feeding our hungry helpers with delicious food!
